Responsibilities

Tasks

• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers

• Develop and implement child-care programs supporting children’s development

• Storytelling and leading group activities

• Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers

• Guide children in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

• Observe for learning or behavioral issues and report to parents/supervisors

• Discuss progress at staff meetings

• Collaborate with co-workers and service providers

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children

• Coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
